The steps of one prescription visit

· Sudiptta Apu

Four steps. You do the writing. The page remembers, and it does not finish the visit for you.

Four steps, and then the patient stands up

A visit in softhubd is not a tour of the software. You open the patient, you write the note, you add the medicine, and you print or make a file. That is the whole path. Login lands you on the writing page, so you are not clicking through a home screen, a patient module, and a prescription module while someone is sitting in front of you. The junior can leave the history ready. You still decide what stays on the page.

The first step is the person. Name, age, sex, weight, date, and an address if you want it. Sex is male, female, or third gender. If they have been here before, you do not start from an empty form. You find the earlier visit by name, by mobile, or by the ID the last save created, something like 0042. Opening that visit is how you remember the dose you chose last Thursday without asking the patient to recite it.

The note is still your note

Complaints, history, examination, diagnosis, tests, and advice are ordinary fields. The first time you type a sentence, it is just a sentence. The next day, when you open the same field, that wording is waiting. Two letters usually bring the match into view. You click when it is the right line for this person. You do not click when it is close but wrong. A suggestion never places itself on the pad. That rule is what keeps the page from becoming a pile of yesterday’s patients.

Templates sit beside that memory. A fever visit in the rainy season is not a fever visit in winter, and a template you saved in June can be opened, edited, or deleted when it stops fitting. Bangla and English both work. The writing follows the language you pick. Doses can be morning, noon, and night, every few hours, several times a day, or drops per minute into a vein. Banglish becomes Bangla while you type, so you do not have to stop and translate the words you already say out loud.

The medicine is a click, not a guess

Search by the brand, the group, or the company. About 72,000 rows of medicines and supplies are there. The row shows the group, the company, and the price, because two bottles can share a name and still be a syrup and a drop. You use the price to pick the right row. The patient’s page does not show that price unless this chamber has turned it on. The default is off. Company and group stay off the print the same way.

If the name is missing, type it on. It is kept, and a later search can find it. A fever of 100 or more mentions Paracetamol as something to search. It does not add the tablet, the syrup, or the drop. You click, then you set the dose and the number of days. Saline can be written as drops, including how many drops in a minute. The software is not choosing the treatment. It is holding the list open while you choose.

Print, or the file they take instead

When the note is done you print one page on the pad you uploaded. That is the PDF or the photo of the paper you already use, with the blank edge set in millimetres so the writing misses the logo. A4, A5, or the pad size. Each chamber keeps its own sheet. The signature and the seal sit in the footer. A clear PNG stays clear. Drag it, or set the place in millimetres.

If they cannot wait, make a JPG or a PDF of that same page. On a phone the share sheet puts the file into WhatsApp. On a computer the file downloads and you attach it to the chat or to an email. The message is yours to send. The mobile number stays on the visit so you can find them later. It is not printed on the page they will photograph and forward.

What the visit remembers after they leave

A save gives the visit an ID. That number can appear on the date line of the pad. Later, the same ID, the name, or the mobile opens the visit again. You can copy the last prescription into a new one, keep a draft, or mark the page final. A draft is a page the junior or you have not finished. Final means this is the page the patient should hold. Copying does not delete the old visit. You can still see what you wrote last time, and then change the dose because the child is better or add a test because they are not.

The totals are there when the last patient has gone. Today, this week, this month, this year, on Dhaka time. New patients and people who came back are counted apart. You can see which medicine, which company, and which test you wrote most. It is a chamber count. It is not a billing department, and it does not collect a fee.

One doctor in the monthly packs

A monthly pack is one doctor. Basic is 500 saved prescriptions and 2 chambers for ৳1,000. Standard is 1,000 prescriptions and 5 chambers for ৳2,000. Premium is 2,000 prescriptions and 10 chambers for ৳3,000. The doctor is recognised when the name and the degree match closely. What you do not use stays. Buy 500, use 200, and 300 remains. Buy another 500 next month and you are holding 800. Buying the software once is separate: up to 5 doctors and 10 chambers, and you ask that price on the demo.

Payment is a scan. The licence turns on after the payment is seen. Typing a transaction number that nobody has checked does not switch the chamber on. Domain and hosting can be separate from the marketing site. If a domain is written on the licence, that is where the software runs.

What this visit does not include

There is no SMS at the end of the visit. There is no voice that writes the page while you talk. There is no screen in the waiting room, and the page does not keep working when the connection drops. Drugs are not checked against each other. ICD codes are not filled in. Serial numbers and an automatic bKash or Nagad checkout are not here. If you need those, this is the wrong product, and it is better to know that before the first patient than after.

The demo is two prescriptions at no cost, with a live print, in a new tab. Write one visit the way you would on a quiet afternoon. If the four steps feel like the way you already work, the rest of the site is only the price and the pad.

A visit that starts messy and ends as one page

Real visits do not arrive in order. The patient mentions the test before the complaint. The mother adds a second child. The phone rings. The page does not punish that. You can type a test, jump to the medicine search, come back, and delete a line you wrote too quickly. Two letters still bring yesterday’s wording, and you still have to click it. Nothing about moving around the page writes a dose you did not choose. When you are ready, the print is one page on the pad of this chamber, not a stack of screenshots.

The seal and the signature are part of that same page, not a later errand. Put the PNG or JPEG in the footer before the rush starts, drag the clear seal until it sits where you sign, and leave it. The next patient does not make you place it again. If the morning clinic and the evening chamber use different paper, pick the chamber first. The wrong pad is the mistake people notice at the pharmacy, and it is easier to avoid than to explain.

What you can tell a colleague in one minute

You write. The page remembers your lines and offers them back. Medicines are searched, with the price visible to you and hidden on the print. The patient leaves with paper or with a file you attached yourself. Old visits open by name, mobile, or a small ID. That is a complete description. It does not include a robot that diagnoses, a queue on a television, or a payment link inside the prescription. Colleagues who want those things need a different product. Colleagues who are tired of rewriting the same advice, and tired of a pad that does not match their letterhead, are the ones this visit is for.

Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, a child specialist at Sufia Memorial in Bagerhat, uses it and tells other doctors. One real chamber is a better reference than a page of invented praise. If you want the same look, open the demo and write two prescriptions before you talk about the monthly price.

Do I have to finish the note before I search a medicine?

No. The page is one screen. You can write a complaint, add a medicine, and go back to the advice without opening another module.

Will an old sentence appear on the pad by itself?

It appears in the list. It sits on the pad when you click, and not before.

Can a junior start the visit?

Yes. They can leave the history. You still decide what is printed.

What is counted as a used prescription?

A saved prescription in a monthly pack. What you do not save against that pack stays for the next month.
