The visit often ends before the printer does
You know the moment. The advice is clear, the medicine is chosen, and the child has started to cry. The rickshaw is at the gate. A handwritten pad that is not finished is a lost prescription. The mother will reconstruct it from memory at the pharmacy, and the pharmacy will guess. That guess is the expensive part, not the paper. Prescription software is useful here because the page can leave as a file of the same layout you would have printed: your pad, your seal, the dose, the tests.
softhubd makes the JPG or the PDF. It does not send it. On a phone you use the share sheet and choose the chat. On a computer the file downloads and you attach it to WhatsApp or to email. If you skip that last step, nothing has gone. That is the correct default. A prescription should not leave because a button sat next to Print.
What the file is allowed to carry
The name, the age, the date, the medicines, and the advice. Not the mobile number. People photograph prescriptions and drop them into family groups. The number is how you find the person next time. It does not need to ride along. Not the price, the company, or the group, unless this chamber turned those on. You used the price to pick the row. The parent does not need it in the chat. A clear seal stays clear if the file was a transparent PNG. A white box around the seal is in the picture file, not in the share sheet. Fix the PNG before you blame WhatsApp.
Look once before you send. Mark the visit final when you have seen it. A draft shared from a hurried handset is how a half-written dose reaches a pharmacy. The share sheet cannot tell draft from final. You can. If you send the wrong file, the correction is a second file and a sentence: follow this one, not the earlier picture. The software cannot reach into their phone and replace it.
Coming back is the other half of “not lost”
The file in their gallery is a copy of that afternoon. It is not the record you edit later. Next month, open the visit by name, mobile, or the ID, such as 0042. Copy the old prescription if it helps, then change what changed. Editing today does not rewrite the old picture. If they need the new page, you make a new file and you send that. Say which one is today’s. Two copies confuse a pharmacy more than no software ever did.
The ID is not a serial for the door and it is not sent by SMS. There is no text that says the prescription is ready. The file is the message’s attachment. The words around it are yours. A chamber that wants an automatic “your file is ready” will not get it by moving from ৳1,000 to ৳3,000. Basic, Standard, and Premium change saves and chambers. They do not add a sender.
Who should receive it, and who should not
The patient, or the parent who will buy the medicine. Not a public status. Not a doctors’ group, unless you have removed the name and you mean to teach. Fathers and uncles sit next to each other in a contact list. Glance at the chat name. A wrong chat is a privacy mistake this product cannot retract, because it never held the chat. If there is no smartphone, print. The file is the alternative for the person who left, not a rule that paper is over.
Email is the same file for someone who asked for a mailbox. There is no scheduled outbox. There is no night-time queue of messages. You attach the download when you mean to. Then the visit is finished. The relationship after that — the phone call if the dose was wrong, the apology, the new file — is still a doctor’s work. Software that pretended to do that work would be lying.
Try the leaving, not only the sitting
On the demo, use one of the two free prescriptions to write a page and send the file to yourself. Open it on your phone. Read the dose the way a pharmacy would. If the seal is clear and the line is the line you wrote, the feature is done. If the patient in your real chamber cannot wait, you now know the path: final, file, chat, one sentence about which file to follow. The print remains for the person who can wait. Both are the same pad. Neither sends itself.
A file is a copy, the visit is the record
Keep those two ideas apart and the feature stops being frightening. The JPG in the parent’s phone is that afternoon, frozen. Your screen is the place you correct. If the dose should change after they have reached the road, open the ID, edit, save, make a new file, and say which one to follow. Do not expect the old picture to update. No honest software can promise that once WhatsApp has the image. What it can promise is that you still have the writing, the seal, and a way to send a cleaner page.
The mobile stays off both the paper and the file because the photograph will travel. You still have the number on the visit when you need to call. Finding them later is the point of storing it. Publishing it is not. A doctor who understands that split will trust the file with a patient’s name on it. A doctor who thinks the software messages everyone on its own will not, and should not, because that is not what happens.
Practice the send before you need it
Use the demo’s second free prescription for this. Write a short page. Create the file. Attach it to a chat with yourself. Read it on the phone screen, not on the computer, because that is how the pharmacy will see a forwarded picture. If a word is cut off, fix the margin now, not after a real child has left. Then you know the path on a bad afternoon: look, mark final, send, name the file in one sentence. Paper remains for the patient who sits still. The software did not choose for them. You did, by whether they could wait.
What to say when you hand over the phone
Parents remember one instruction if you give them one. Say the file name and say which picture to show the pharmacy. If you later change the dose, say the new file name and say the old picture is finished. They will still have both images. Your sentence is what sorts them. The software cannot reach into the chat and delete the first one. Knowing that keeps you from promising a magic update. You promise a second, clearer page, and you keep the visit on your side so the change is written down.
Practise on your own number during the two free prescriptions. A real patient’s chat is a poor classroom. Once you have seen the page on a phone screen, you know whether a word is cut off. Fix the margin that afternoon. The next patient who leaves in a hurry gets a file you have already trusted with your own eyes.
Name the file out loud
Before you attach anything, say the patient’s name and the time of day. Then look at the chat. If the name in the chat is a different person, stop. The software will not stop you. That one sentence is the safety. After they have the file, the visit remains under its ID, so a later change is a new file with a new name, not a hope that the old picture will rewrite itself.
Does softhubd send the WhatsApp message?
