How a chamber visit gets easier on one page

· Sudiptta Apu

Walking through menus is not part of the visit while the patient is sitting there. One page holds the name, the note, the medicine, then the print on your pad.

Menus are a second waiting room

The patient is in the chair. If the software now asks you to open a patient module, then a prescription module, then a print module, you have built a corridor inside the computer. softhubd logs you onto the writing page. Name, age, sex, weight, and date are there. Sex can be male, female, or third gender. The complaint, the history, the examination, the diagnosis, the tests, and the advice are on that same page. The medicine search is on that same page. You can type a test, jump to a bottle, come back, and delete a line you wrote too fast. Nothing about moving around writes a dose you did not choose.

A junior can leave the history before you arrive. They are not a second product. They are a person with a login whose saved lines do not have to become your templates, and whose hands should not be using your seal. The visit ID, a number like 0042, is still the patient’s visit. Either of you can open it if access allows. Sharing one password on a slip of paper mixes two people’s habits into one suggestion list. Separate users keep the click useful.

Four steps, said without a manual

Open the person. If they have been before, find them by name, mobile, or ID, and read the last note before you copy anything. Write what you found, in Bangla or English. The writing follows the language you pick. Search the medicine by brand, group, or company. About 72,000 rows show the price so you pick the right strength. The price does not print unless this chamber asks for it. Set the dose the way you would say it: morning to night, every few hours, or drops per minute. Then print on this chamber’s pad, or make the file.

That is the visit. Doctors who have suffered large systems hear “four steps” and wait for the hidden fifth. There isn’t a billing step, a queue step, or a code step. If your chamber’s trouble is the fee at the desk, this page will not collect it. The ease it offers is the ease of finishing the prescription without leaving the note.

The pad is part of the ease, not a decoration

A familiar sheet is faster at the pharmacy than a beautiful strange one. Upload your PDF once. Set the margins in millimetres once. Place the seal once. After that, picking the chamber is the whole setup. Two rooms mean two pads. The evening logo does not catch the morning writing. A crooked first print is fixed on a quiet morning, not while a child is crying. When the test page looks like last year’s pad, stop adjusting. Staff should not “improve” the margin between patients.

Phone and computer use the same page. An evening chamber on a handset is not a reduced product. There is nothing to install. The buttons are the same. The print is still one page. If the connection drops, the page stops. Say that before you promise a colleague it will run through a blackout. A generator brings the same pad back. The minutes without power are still paper, if you want them to be.

What gets easier, in a sentence each

Finding last month is easier, because the visit has an ID and the mobile is a search key, not a number on the sheet the family will photograph. Repeating your own advice is easier, because two letters bring it back and a click places it. Choosing the bottle is easier, because the company and the strength sit beside the name. Handing the page to someone who has already left is easier, because the file is the same layout, and you attach it yourself. Seeing the day is easier: today, this week, this month, this year, on Dhaka time, new patients apart from people who came back.

None of those sentences say the medicine is chosen for you. A fever of 100 can mention Paracetamol. You still click. None of them say the crowd at the door is organised. The ease is inside the chair, not outside it.

Money, after the page feels easy

Do not buy a larger pack to make the page simpler. The page is the same. Basic at ৳1,000 is 500 saves and 2 chambers, one doctor, name and degree close enough. Standard at ৳2,000 is 1,000 saves and 5 chambers. Premium at ৳3,000 is 2,000 saves and 10 chambers. Unused saves stay. Buy 500, use 200, and 300 remains. Several doctors on one install are the buy-once conversation, up to 5 doctors and 10 chambers, price asked on the demo.

Try the ease before the price. Two free prescriptions, live print, new tab. Write a messy visit on purpose: a test before the complaint, a medicine, a deleted line, a print. If you never left the page, the article has told the truth. If you wanted a queue board, it has told the truth about that too.

The messy visit is the real test

A tidy demo is easy to fake. A real visit is not tidy. The mother mentions the sibling. The phone rings. You search a syrup before you have finished the complaint, then you delete it because the age is wrong. The page has to survive that without sending you to another screen and without keeping the deleted syrup. softhubd does. The four steps are a description, not a lock. You can do them out of order. You cannot skip the part where you look.

When the day ends, the count is there: today, the week, the month, the year. New patients and returning patients are separate. That number tells you whether 500 saves is the right pack or whether evenings have outgrown it. It does not bill anyone. Ease includes knowing the size of the work without reconstructing it from a register you can no longer read.

Two rooms, still one habit

If you sit in two places, ease includes not thinking about margins at 7 p.m. You thought about them once, in the morning, for each pad. At night you pick the chamber. The seal is already there. The writing starts below the logo because you measured it when nobody was crying. Forgetting this is how the wrong letterhead gets to the pharmacy. The software will not shout. The preview will show you, if you glance. Teach the attendant the chamber names once. The habit sticks in a week. A monthly pack of two chambers is enough for clinic plus evening. Five or ten is for a doctor who really sits in that many rooms. Do not buy rooms you will not open.

Why one page is easier than a clever menu

Every extra screen is a place to forget which patient you were on. A chamber visit already has interruptions. The software should not add a tour. Name, words, medicines, print. If you can say those four to an attendant, they can follow you without a manual. The phone does the same four, with the same pad, because there is no second app to learn on the way between rooms. When the power returns, you are on the same page you left, not in a setup screen.

The count at the end of the day is part of the ease too. You see whether the month is still inside five hundred saves or whether evenings have pushed you toward a thousand. You are not reconstructing the answer from a register with a torn page. Knowing the size of the work is how you buy the right pack instead of guessing in front of a price list.

The page is the visit

If you can point at one screen and say the visit is there, an attendant can help without learning a map. Name at the top. Your words in the middle. Medicines you clicked. Print when you have looked. That is the whole chamber, on one page.

Do I change screens to add a medicine?

No. Search is on the writing page. You can leave it and come back without opening another module.

Can a junior start the note?

Yes. They can leave the history. You decide what is printed. Their login does not have to share your seal.

Is the phone a smaller version?

No. Same page, same print. It does need a connection.

Does one page include the fee?

No. The visit finishes as a prescription. Collecting the fee is not part of this software.
