The paper was never the problem
A chamber in Bangladesh already has a pad. The press made it. The patient knows the colour. The pharmacy at the corner has been reading that layout for years. Prescription software is not a request to throw that paper away. The useful question is narrower. In the ten minutes a patient sits down, how much of your hand is copying a sentence you already said to the last person? Fever for three days. One spoon in the morning, at noon, and at night. Come back if it does not settle. Those lines are the visit’s tax. You pay it in ink, and the next patient waits outside.
softhubd is for that tax. You still examine. You still decide the medicine. You still sign. The page remembers the sentences you have already written, and it puts today’s writing on the pad you already use. If that is not the tiredness you feel at five in the evening, you do not need this. If it is, the rest of this page is an explanation, not a slogan.
What “need” actually means
Need does not mean a law that every doctor must type. Plenty of careful prescriptions are still written with a pen, and a clear hand is not a fault. Need means the afternoon has become a queue of the same motions. The pen repeats. The attendant looks for last month’s page and cannot find it. The patient stands up before the ink is dry. The mother asks again, on the way out, how many times a day. A tool is worth buying when it shortens those four moments and does not invent a fifth job.
That is the sale, said plainly. You are not buying a hospital. You are buying a writing page that keeps your lines, prints on your sheet, and can become a file when the chair is already empty. The decision of what to give this child stays in your head. The software does not finish the prescription while you are still talking.
Your own sentences, not a second doctor
The first time you type “খাবারের পর, পাঁচ দিন”, it is only a sentence. The next afternoon, when you open that field, the sentence is waiting. Two letters are often enough to see it. You click when it fits this person. You do not click when the dose should be smaller, or the illness is not the one you wrote yesterday. Nothing sits on the pad until that click. This is the whole safety of the feature. A suggestion is your memory. It is not a colleague leaning over the table.
Doctors worry, reasonably, that software will start choosing. This one does not. A fever of 100 or more can mention a search for Paracetamol. Mentioning is not adding. You still pick the drop or the syrup or the tablet, and you still write how many days. If you ignore the hint, the page does not argue. The catalogue has about 72,000 rows so you can find the bottle. The row shows the group, the company, and the price so two similar names do not trick your eye. The price stays off the printed page unless that chamber turns it on. The default is off. Parents do not need your search notes in the corner of the paper.
The pad they already trust
Upload the PDF or the photo of the pad you use now. Set A4, A5, or the pad size, and move the blank edge in millimetres until the writing clears the logo. Do this once, on a quiet morning, and print a test page before a real patient is involved. A signature and a seal can be a PNG or a JPEG. A transparent seal stays transparent. Drag it to the place you sign, then leave it. The next patient should not make you place the seal again.
Each chamber keeps its own sheet. Morning clinic and evening room do not share a letterhead unless you uploaded the same file twice. Pick the chamber and that pad opens. This is why a doctor with two addresses needs the software as much as a doctor with one. The mistake patients notice is not a missing feature. It is the right medicine on the wrong paper.
When they cannot wait, and when they come back
Some visits end in the corridor. The rickshaw is outside. You make a JPG or a PDF of the same laid-out page and you attach it yourself on WhatsApp or email. softhubd does not open the chat and does not send the message. You choose the person. The mobile number on the visit is for finding them later. It is not printed, and it is not inside the file. A photograph of a prescription travels further than you expect. The phone number does not need to travel with it.
A save gives the visit an ID, something like 0042. Next month you open it by name, by mobile, or by that number. You can copy the last prescription into a new visit and then change the dose, because the child is better or because they are not. The old visit stays. Copying is a head start, not an order to repeat last month. A junior can leave the history before you sit down. They do not inherit your seal or your templates if they have their own login. Your lines stay yours.
What you should refuse to buy
If the problem at your door is the crowd, this page will not number the crowd. There is no television in the waiting room, no SMS when you are running late, no voice that writes while you talk, and no offline copy when the connection drops. Drugs are not checked against each other. ICD codes are not filled in. Serial numbers and an automatic bKash or Nagad checkout are not here. A bigger monthly pack does not add them. Basic is ৳1,000 for 500 saved prescriptions and 2 chambers. Standard is ৳2,000 for 1,000 and 5 chambers. Premium is ৳3,000 for 2,000 and 10 chambers. A monthly pack is one doctor. What you do not use stays. Buy 500, use 200, and 300 remains. Buying once, for up to 5 doctors and 10 chambers, is a price you ask on the demo. This article will not invent it.
That absence is part of the explanation. A doctor who understands the job can say yes or no in one sitting. A doctor who was sold a waiting-room screen and received a writing page has been misled. softhubd would rather lose that sale.
How to see it before any money
Two prescriptions are free. The button opens the live demo in a new tab, and a print is there so you can hold the page. Write one visit the way you would on a quiet afternoon. Use your own sentence. Search one medicine you prescribe every day. If the pad, the click, and the file feel like the work you already do, then look at the pack. If they do not, you have spent nothing and you know why. One child specialist in Bagerhat, Dr. Abul Kalam Azad at Sufia Memorial, uses it and tells other doctors. That is one chamber, not a crowd of invented praise. The proof you should trust is your own test print.
Tell a colleague without a brochure
Say this. I still use my pad. I do not retype the sentence I give every afternoon. I click it when it fits. If the patient leaves, I send the same page as a file, myself. Next month I open the visit by name. I am not buying a queue, a text message, or a voice. If your colleague nods, they understood the product. If they ask whether it diagnoses, the answer is no, and that answer is a reason to trust the rest. A sale that starts with a clear no is easier to keep than a sale that starts with a long yes.
The demo is the brochure. Two free prescriptions. Print one. That page, not this article, should close the decision.
The hour that decides the purchase
Watch the last six patients, not the first. The first six still have your patience. The last six have a corridor, a ringing phone, and a mother who has already stood up. That is the hour this software is for. If those six pages still look like the first six, you may not need it. If the last spoon is shorter than the first, and the pharmacy calls about a word, the need is already in the room. You do not have to announce a new system. You print on the pad they know, and you click the line you already trust.
Does the software write the prescription for me?
No. You write it. Older lines come back, and they sit on the pad only when you click.
Do I have to give up my pad?
No. You upload the PDF or photo you already print on, and you set the blank edge in millimetres.
Will it message the patient?
It makes a JPG or PDF. You attach that file. It does not send WhatsApp or SMS.
What does a month cost?
৳1,000, ৳2,000, or ৳3,000, depending on saves and chambers. Unused saves stay. The buy-once price is asked on the demo.
